Instatel Communications is seeking a talented Telecom Technician, with above average IT skills.

We require a quick learner that is capable of switching between various technical jobs. Tasks will include installation, configuration and support of phone systems, network equipment, computer systems, cabling and paging/audio systems and more.

The successful applicant will be able to multitask and prioritize tasks to ensure the successful and timely completion of daily work. This person will also possess excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Previous experience working with current Panasonic and Toshiba phone systems would be a great asset. Experience in other areas such as access control, security, and nurse call systems would be of benefit.

Requires TCP/IP skills; including configuration of public and private IP addressing, subnetting, basic routing, and network troubleshooting skills.

Good communication and people skills are an absolute must. You must be comfortable explaining your work to the customer in non-technical terms, and you must also be able to provide end user training when required.

Must possess a Class G License and have a clean driving record. Must be able to provide an abstract on request.

Previous experience in an IT, Telecom or related field is required.

This is a full time position, 8:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday.

Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.

Hourly wage negotiable based on experience.
