Hi, 

My name is Tom Hyatt and I am a singer/songwriter from Manchester in England. Earlier this year I wrote a song called My Contribution to express some of my thoughts about how a less meat-based diet could help solve some of the global problems we face. I never realised that when I wrote:


Soon the floods will come,
And before the decade's done,
Millions will be stranded without homes.


I should have written year. As you will be aware, tragic events have unfolded in Pakistan as flooding has left over a thousand dead, and affected some 2.5 million people who are in need of urgent help.

The British Red Cross is currently running a relief effort to get aid to those who need it. You can read more about their appeal, and the flooding, at:

The issue at hand transcends politics - people are in need of help and the Red Cross will give it - to the people.
